Today the representatives of the Turkish company Limak have given to Dnipro mayor’s office an agreed contract for subway construction in the city. The Mayor Borys Filatov has written it on his Facebook page.
“Turkish colleagues have brought an agreed contract for subway construction,” wrote Borys Filatov. The Mayor has also published his photo with a thick folder of contract documents in his hands. “This huge book is not the Great Encyclopedic Dictionary, this is our contract,” explained the city mayor.
Officially the documents are to be signed on July, 28.
There were four companies that competed for the right to build subway in Dnipro – from Italy, Ukraine, China and Turkey. Turkey offered the lowest contract value. The term, when according to the rules of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank, Turkey had to give agreed documents to Dnipro, expires on July, 20.
The company Limak within 90 days had to be licensed in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, to open its office at the request of Dnipro mayor’s office, to register its representation office, to pass tax registration and to sign a contract. Furthermore, the Turkish side had to provide guarantee of the work – to transfer documents, that was done today. A few days are needed to verify the documents.
