The candidate of the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” at midterm parliamentary elections in the 85th district in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Victor Shevchenko, says he has no doubt about his victory.
“Our campaign headquarters carried out parallel vote tabulation, and now there is no doubt about our victory. As we have got 100% of protocols with wet stamps from the district election commissions,” commented Victor Shevchenko to the journalists of “1+1” TV channel. He says he wins over his competitor, the representative of “Petro Poroshenko Bloc – Solidarity” Sergiy Nasalyk with about one thousand votes or 2%.
Victor Shevchenko has also added that during the vote count there were some attempts of electoral fraud, but his team has managed to prevent them. “In particular they refused to accept protocols of district election commissions, where we have got the majority. But our team has been working professionally and has put it in the public spotlight. So now we have defended the election results and we are confident of victory,” stressed the parliamentary candidate.
The representative of UKROP has also noted that exit polls, carried out in the district by different companies, show different results. In particular, “SOCIS” exit poll gives victory to the pro-government candidate, while polls of the news agency “Firtka” turned out to be more accurate – its results correspond to the current situation.
According to the CEC, that has currently processed 83.13% of protocols in the 85th district, Victor Shevchenko gains 21.14% of votes. The result of Sergiy Nasalyk is 18.89%.
