Dnipro City Council has improved its position in a ranking of the agencies using the electronic public procurement system Prozorro, and has risen from the sixth to the fifth place. The Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov stated it during the press conference on June, 10. Currently, the number of submitted tenders is almost 4.5 thousand. Kyiv City State Administration was the first in the ranking, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and the Ministry of Energy and Mines were ranked further.
“Within the country we have reached a higher level. At the same time there is a particular category of citizens who say that Prozorro does not work in Dnipro, and that the necessary procedures for open tenders are not submitted. I do not understand how they can say that black is white and white is black,” said Borys Filatov.
According to the mayor, using Prozorro, Dnipro City Council has reduced cost proposals and thus saved about 11 million hryvnias in September of last year. He also promised to provide the official website of the City Council with a special service displaying electronic procurement Prozorro.
In addition, Borys Filatov has reminded that Dnipro City Council is working with the system according to the last year’s regulations. While a new and improved regulation on Prozorro is already adopted. And it will take effect from August 1, 2016.
