The party “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” has nominated candidates for the midterm elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that will be held on July 17, 2016. The decision was taken during the 8th Party Congress of UKROP on May 27 in Kyiv, with participation of 41 delegates. Party nominees will compete for seats in all the seven constituencies where the elections are set.
In the district № 23 in Volyn region, the party’s candidate is Irina Konstankevych, deputy of the regional council, pedagogue, deputy chairman of Ihor Palytsya Charitable Fund “Only together”; in the district № 27 in Dnipropetrovsk – human rights defender and lawyer Oksana Tomchuk, who represented Hennady Korban during the trials in the years 2015-2016; in the district № 183 in Kherson – Oleksandr Knyga, director, artistic director of the regional music and drama theatre; in the district № 151 in Poltava region – Inna Avramenko, volunteer, deputy of the regional council; in the district № 206 in Chernihiv – Yaroslav Girich, civic activist, director general of the medical company “UMPK group”; in the district № 114 in Luhansk region – Roman Bruchko, scientist, civic activist, co-founder of the LLC “Sapphire Ukraine”; in the district № 85 in Ivano-Frankivsk – Victor Shevchenko, businessman, member of the regional council from UKROP.
The representatives of the party emphasize that among the candidates in all districts local nominees were selected as a priority. “We have had consultations with regional organizations and agreed their propositions. It is your decision and our common responsibility,” said Taras Batenko, who was elected chairman of UKROP political council on May, 13, in his address to the delegates.

Oksana Tomchuk (nominated in the district № 27) was born in 1980 in Dnipropetrovsk. She graduated from Oles Honchar National University of Dnipropetrovsk, specialties “Ecology” and “Legal science”. Lawyer at Association “Poghosyan, Tomchuk and partners”. Represented the interests of Hennady Korban during the trials in the years 2015-2016. Chairman of the NGO “Human Rights Group “Sich”. Deputy of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council from UKROP.
Roman Bruchko (nominated in the district № 114) was born in 1978. Has got degrees in the field of “Engineer Electronics Industry” (V. Dal East Ukrainian National University) and “Finance” (Regional Management Institute of Luhansk). He worked as a private entrepreneur, and in 2012 was one of the founders of the LLC “Sapphire Ukraine”. Currently he is engaged in scientific activity. During local elections in 2015 was the head of UKROP regional election headquarters in Luhansk.
Inna Avramenko (nominated in the district № 151) was born in 1976 in Hlobyne in Poltava region. She graduated from V. Kazarin State University of Kharkiv, Historical Faculty. Runs a private business. Deputy of Poltava Regional Council from UKROP, volunteer.
Oleksandr Knyga (nominated in the district № 183) was born in 1959 in the village Pokrovka in Mykolaiv region. He graduated from Korniychuk Kyiv State Institute of Culture and completed postgraduate studies at State Academy of Senior Executives in Culture and Arts. Currently he is director general and artistic director of M. Kulish Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre, deputy of Kherson Regional Council, elected from the “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP”. .
Yaroslav Girich (nominated in the district № 206) was born on July 13, 1988 in Chernihiv. He ran a business and since 2011 is director general of the Ukrainian medical anti-epidemic company “UMPK group”. President of the NGO “Foundation for a healthy society”. With great experience in implementing investment projects, supports the programs of solid waste treatment in Chernihiv region and recultivation of landfill waste in Masany microdistrict. Initiator of social projects on separate waste collection and environmental education for the residents of Chernihiv.
Victor Shevchenko (nominated in the district № 85) was born in 1980. Graduated from V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Deputy of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council from UKROP, head of commission on industry, construction, architecture, road, housing and communal services. Engaged in entrepreneurial activity.
