The information about offshore companies that involve current high officials or their business partners as the owners should be investigated by the representatives of the democratic opposition. The MP and the member of the inter-faction union UKROP Vitaliy Kupriy said it on the air of the NewsOne TV channel.
“If the authorities really want a true and independent investigation, they should delegate it to the democratic opposition. The authorities should not carry out investigation concerning themselves,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.
According to the MP, there is no point to wait for a proper investigation of the offshore scandal, if it is carried out by the people involved in this case. As becoming the members of the temporary investigation commission on political corruption and offshore companies, which was announced to be created in the Parliament, these MPs would only pretend to be working, added the MP. “They (ruling factions – Ed.) will work according to this scheme in order to impede activity of the commission,” said Vitaliy Kupriy.
