MP Taras Batenko is to become the chairman of UKROP political council

The political council of the party “Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” has chosen MP Taras Batenko as the chairman. The decision was taken on May 13 in Kyiv. He was supported by 23 out of 31 members of UKROP political council. Candidacy of Taras Batenko was also supported by Hennady Korban who participated in the session via Skype.

“The first priorities of my work at this point, as I see, will be consolidation of the party and activation of its participation in the political process,” said Taras Batenko.

The issue of re-election of the chairman of UKROP political council was brought to the agenda by Denys Borysenko, who was appointed temporarily for this position in January 2016.

The decision on the election of Taras Batenko will come into force after the 8th Congress of the UKROP party that according to the decision of the political council is to be held on May 19 in Kyiv. There also will be nominated candidates from the party for participation in the midterm elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
