Mayor of Dnipropetrovsk Borys Filatov will personally ensure that no one could extort bribes from local businessmen. The representatives of small businesses will get the opportunity to complain to the mayor on people offering them to pay for their assistance in organizing the work of the points of sale via e-mail: stopcorruption.dp@gmail.com. Under mayor’s close scrutiny there will be not only the employees of city service offices and government agencies, but also deputies and ordinary citizens who will offer “to settle a question”. City authorities promise to assist everybody who would be able to provide evidence of some illegal actions and to make a statement to the law enforcement. Borys Filatov claims that the entrepreneurs, who will be ready to give evidence of corruption, will get guaranteed security and confidentiality. Anonymous appeals will not be taken into consideration.
In addition, according to the mayor, during the last 2 and a half months, none of the employees of the Department of Market and Consumer Services, Trade Office of City Administration or municipal enterprise “Blagoustriy” has received bribes for dealing with legalization of kiosks or points of seasonal trade, including auto coffee bars, summer marketplaces or anything else. “We provide our full assistance to those people who want to work, to earn, but who do not break the rules and pay taxes to the local budget,” emphasized Borys Filatov.
