“Ukrainian Patriots Association – UKROP” party continues to be under the unprecedented pressure of the authorities. Political repression against the members and supporters of the party, political imprisonment of Hennady Korban, slanderous statements of the punitive agencies – these are the interrelated elements of a well-planned, organized and financed campaign aimed at systematic destruction of the opposition in Ukraine.
There is no doubt that this campaign is inspired and directed by the authorities. Their purpose is to deprive Hennady Korban of the status of politically repressed person, to block the work of the party, to discredit UKROP and to undermine the party credibility in the eyes of the citizens of Ukraine and the international community.
Presidium of UKROP political council has some reasons to consider that Hennady Korban, communication with whom is limited due to politically motivated arrest, is under psychological pressure and disinformation influence. Hennady Korban as a member of the presidium of UKROP political council is one of the founders and leaders of UKROP party.
The political council of the party has unanimously supported the decision on continuing to fight for his liberation, as well as for the release of other political prisoners. The election of a new chairman of UKROP political council was carried out exclusively for technical reasons, in order to enable the activity of the opposition party for radical change of the system of power in Ukraine.
The presidium calls on all the members of the party to remain resolute and united in the struggle for patriots’ freedom, and for a free, independent and united Ukraine – against extortioners and traitors of national interests!
