During the court session the politician expressed his attitude to the request of the prosecutor Oleksandr Holinchenko on adding to the case materials the interrogation report of Korban’s doctor, whom Hennady Korban have never seen, and the order that allegedly explains how his case has been transferred to Dniprovsk District Court of Kyiv despite the fact that it had to be considered by Pechersk District Court.
“Your Honour, dear public, dear journalists, representatives of foreign countries!
Lawyers, prosecutors and judges – they are speaking their professional, very specific language that cannot be understood by everyone. That is why I would like to explain what is happening now.
In this cage I have the impression that our country is trying to perform a huge legal experiment. What does it mean? They invite a 30-year-old girl as a specialist in cardiovascular medicine, without me and my lawyers they carry out legal proceedings with her. Perhaps it was a nurse. We do not understand who this person is. For example, me, I do not understand who is mentioned in the interrogation report presented by the Prosecutor’s Office.
As for the judge Chaus. There are quite obvious things – the court that the judge Chaus was presiding over was evident to everybody in the country. There was a video-broadcast, and the whole country saw how he conducted the night session that lasted more than 30 hours, and how at night the prosecutors broke into my place and drove me to the court, and in the court – I want to draw attention of the representatives of foreign countries – in the court that was surrounded by an incredible number of the Security Service officers and the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who did not let an ambulance car to go on call, in the presence of corrupt prosecutors, during the night session “titushkas” were brought into.
The prosecutor says that there are some criminal proceedings, investigations (against me). So why not to investigate with such a desire, initiative, and perseverance who brought those “titushkas” to the court, when it was crowded with police officers and prosecutors, who have just suddenly turned away! It means that in this country there are still some people who keep on performing experiments upon other people living here. They have chosen me, Hennady Korban, as an experimental subject. Well, maybe this is my historic mission. On the one hand, I’m not pleased to participate in it, but on the other hand – what can I do?
And all this happens right in front of the eyes of millions of people. However, they (prosecutors - Ed.) go on smiling cynically, driving their Porsche and giving references that something allegedly exists, but as for Chaus – there is nothing (proceedings against him). It is obvious that Chaus is a criminal, and the prosecutors had to open the case against him, as in the presence of the officials some unknown people were brought into the courtroom, they put up a fight and beat other people. However, they have nothing against Chaus.
Moreover, when the High Council of Justice should have considered the judge Chaus’ dismissal as he had committed crimes against the activists of Maidan, he was removed from the list (of candidates for dismissal). Why? The story is the following. They could imprison Korban neither in Chernihiv nor in Pechersk Court. But they really wanted to do it. And at this time the crafty MP Granovsky comes, who is, frankly speaking, a legal “degradant”, although he holds quite a responsible position, so he cooks up a scheme. It is the following: the MP Levus who is a well-known patriot, has once filed a petition to the Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv concerning Yeremeyev’s and Firtash’s crimes in the gas sector. The question is: what does Korban have to do with it? So they take Korban’s case that was not considered in Chernihiv, at Pechersk Court, and add it to the case of Yeremeyev-Firtash. They could as well attach to my case the cases of Yanukovych, Tymoshenko, Kurchenko or even better – Lazarenko and change the jurisdiction across the country. Only ratfinks can make such frauds, or rather miserable people, working at the Prosecutor’s Office. This is their mission that is why they have to falsify documents and combine the case of Korban, who was awarded the Order, Korban who has saved hundreds of people, with the cases of Yeremeyev and Firtash. Now this is the way the Prosecutor’s Office works in our country.
Every day I spend in prison – and this is bad enough. But if they think that they are performing an experiment upon me, and once they would make me forget about it, they are wrong. Every day I spent in jail will be given to these grifters back many times over. As well as to
