The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has refused to add to the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations the statement of the MP Vitaliy Kupriy on the crime of the MP Igor Kononenko and the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The parliamentarian and the member of UKROP political council has written it on his Facebook page.
“Yesterday I received the response from the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Artem Sytnyk. There he points out that laundering of money, stolen from the people, in offshore is not a crime,” wrote the MP. According to the politician, this means that now “every official can easily publish the offshore invoice details for receiving bribes legally”. “And all this goes with yesterday’s dramatic and “encouraging” speech by the President Poroshenko devoted to the resolute struggle against corruption!” outraged the MP with the NABU position.
According to Vitaliy Kupriy, he has already been “breaking a crack in the presidential ship of corruption” for six months and trying to achieve that “at least any law enforcement agency of Ukraine could investigate the statement of the former head of the Security Service Valentyn Nalyvaichenko on illegal business activity of Poroshenko and his right hand – the MP Igor Kononenko from the BPP. “It is referred to their using an offshore company Intraco Management LTD for hiding profits and avoiding taxes,” added the politician.
The MP has explained that the company mentioned above was making remittances and receiving big sums (about 300-500 thousand dollars) from the other offshore companies, while in payment documents there was mentioned the e-mail of Igor Kononenko or connected persons. Then the money was transferred to the account of Kononenko’s daughter and spent on maintenance of the aircraft used by Poroshenko.
With the response of the NABU director it has become known that the anti-corruption bureau could not find sufficient information about criminal offenses committed by the MP Igor Kononenko in the deputy’s statement, thus there is no reason for opening criminal proceedings. As for the information mentioned in the statement concerning Petro Poroshenko – the NABU has answered that it has no authority to start investigation against the current President of Ukraine.
“According to the NABU, all statements about the crimes where the name of the President Poroshenko would be mentioned will not even be registered in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigation, despite the fact that it is a violation of article 214 of the CPC. As if the NABU could not even breathe unequally in direction of Bankova. As I have told long time ago it is unable to fight against corruption, because it was created in order to protect the interests of the oligarch Poroshenko,” is convinced the MP Vitaliy Kupriy.
