The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should initiate an appeal to the G7 leaders and other international institutions to discuss issues of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia, including the filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, at the nearest official events with participation of the representatives of the Russian Federation. This is stated in the deputy’s inquiry of the representatives of UKROP, addressed to the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. The document was prepared by the MPs from the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots”: Taras Batenko, Iryna Konstankevych, Oleksandr Dubinin, Valentyn Didych, Oleksandr Shevchenko and Viktor Shevchenko.

“Numerous actions of support didn’t result in any concessions of the Russian authorities, therefore, the Ukrainian state must reinforce its activity in all possible directions, use all possible ways to liberate Oleg Sentsov,” stated the UKROP representatives.

Parliamentarians also urged the government to post information about Ukrainian political prisoners on official resources of the authorities, embassies and missions of Ukraine. In addition, the information about hostages should be shared during all official meetings with the participation of official delegations from other countries.

“The government should initiate an appeal to the international judicial authorities and take all other possible measures for the liberation of the Ukrainian political prisoners,” stressed the UKROP members.

The representatives of the political force have also sent a deputy’s appeal with the same demands to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin.

The UKROP party has recalled that Oleg Sentsov has been on a hunger strike in the Russian colony since May 14. In this way, the filmmaker wants to draw attention of the world to the Ukrainian political prisoners, who were illegally imprisoned by the Russian Federation. The health of Oleg Sentsov is deteriorating every day.
