The current authorities have lost ground under their feet. This was stated in the program “Right to Rule” on the air of “1+1” TV channel by the head of UKROP, MP Taras Batenko, summing up the results of the last political season.

“The current authorities and the vast majority of deputies are so brazen that they do not understand ordinary people. They have really lost ground under their feet,” claimed the head of the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots”.

The UKROP member has reminded that since the beginning of this year 59 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on the eastern front. The Russian army and separatists fired at the Armed Forces of Ukraine 4.5 thousand times. During the same period, Ukraine has liberated only three prisoners.

“Instead, the struggle for power in the presidential vertical continues. All the achievements of the Revolution of Dignity are neglected. Step by step we go down again the same road as in 2014: limiting freedom of speech, attempting to close web-sites without a court decision – all this may have very bad consequences,” said the MP.

According to the parliamentarian, the inaction of current authorities can return the revanchists back to the future parliament. Former “regionals” are already openly talking about a possible increase in their faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

“These authorities have not fulfilled the promises since 2014. They became even more hostage to their unfulfilled promises and corruption than it was during the time of the previous president,” believes Taras Batenko.

The government does not even respond to aggravation of the situation in the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, where Russian intelligence services detain Ukrainian ships. The scenario of 2014 seems to be repeating, when state leaders “surrendered” the Crimea. The authorities are not going to break the treaty with the Russian Federation on the use of the Azov Sea, which, according to this document, does not apply to the rules of the international maritime law. Meanwhile, the current authorities are planning on how to stay in power.

“It’s awful to imagine even how Poroshenko can win the election. In which way the current leadership can stay in power? By imposing martial law, due to escalation of the situation in the east or active war fighting?” said the MP.
