UKROP is the only political party in Ukraine that has a plan on returning the Crimea and de-occupying Donbas. This was stated in an interview with the Belarusian portal “Hartiya’97” by the chairman of the board of “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” Fund, head of Kyiv city organization of UKROP Bohdan Yaremenko.
“The UKROP party is the one among all political forces and state institutions in Ukraine that has its own published action plan on this issue. It is called “Doctrine of the Patriot”, stressed Bohdan Yaremenko.
The politician noted that the document is based on several fundamental positions and details the approaches to the war and security. So far, no political force in Ukraine was able to formulate a more detailed and precise plan.
Moreover, UKROP is the only post-Maidan party that was created after the loss of the Crimea loss and has a Crimean branch. It is also an indicator of the political platform and program.
“We are going to return the Crimea and we are already preparing structures,” said Bohdan Yaremenko. – Ukraine will never withdraw from the occupied territories. Neither Donbas nor the Crimea”.
The politician believes that today there is no opportunity in Ukraine to return the occupied territories by paying an affordable price for them. This is due to the situation within the country, with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and the international situation as a whole.
In this regard, UKROP considers that the Ukrainian government should first of all step up international pressure on Russia, work at strengthening sanctions and severing relations with the aggressor as much as possible. Along Ukraine should strengthen its military capabilities.
At the same time, the UKROP party considers as the main and quite real task the cease-fire, because today citizens who are loyal to Ukraine – both from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and among the civilians in Donbas – are killed in the conflict zone.
“It is necessary to abandon the ‘conciliatory’ policy regarding Russia, start responding to aggressive actions, appeal to public opinion in the West, bringing maximum military and technical assistance to Ukraine,” said the UKROP member.
According to him, the “Ukrainian Association of Patriots” aims to increase the presence of NATO forces on the territory of Ukraine and joining the North Atlantic Alliance. This is a complex of measures that in the nearest future can solve the problem of freezing the conflict and cease-fire.
