“UKROP will not tolerate brazen violation of the interests of the community and Ukraine!” commented on the film-investigation “Kerch Bridge built of granite from Hnivan” the head of UKROP in Vinnytsia, deputy of Vinnytsia Regional Council Hryhoriy Zozulya.
According to him, the attention of the UKROP members in Vinnytsia was drawn to dealings with rock that is mined in a stone quarry in Hnivan. Along with the journalists they conducted their own investigation, and as a result it appeared that with shadow schemes breakstone from Vinnytsia was sold to Russia for the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait. The UKROP members assure that it was sold to an aggressor country through the companies in Moldova and Pridnestrovie.
The owner of the granite quarry in Hnivan is a former deputy-regional, Vinnytsia resident Victor Bereshchuk. He actively runs a business with the Russian oligarch, former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexandr Babakov.
“Victor Bereshchuk is covered by the local authorities. As for the Hnivan’s quarry, 10 criminal cases were initiated, but according to our information, none of them has come to trial. Meanwhile the session of Hnivan City Council is considering a draft decision on reducing the rent for LLC “Hnivan’s quarry”, which automatically would reduce revenues to the local budget. But we assure that the UKROP members in Vinnytsia will not let such arbitrariness,” said Hryhoriy Zozulya.
The aforementioned film continues to gain popularity in social media.
